I
have been sharing with our church a series of message's on
Jeremiah. He was a prophet, known before God formed him in
his mother's womb, called unto the nations. I believe he
had more problems than any other figure in the bible, even Job,
at least he recovered all he had lost and even better than he
had. Jeremiah couldn't marry, have children, go to
funerals or feasts. He was an outcast most of his ministry.
He only received recognition from the heathen Babylonians.
Even
his scribe Baruch begin to think he was following a failing
ministry. But God was with Jeremiah, and He never left him
and He did everything in time that He had spoken through this
prophet.
God
promised Baruch that He would be preserved if he continued
faithful to Jeremiah.
If
we can just learn to be faithful to God and to his ministry and
ministers, even though at times they struggle and seem to be
failing, God is looking for faithfulness in his people, and we
will be rewarded in due time
Amen. |
